Piers...

You have no 1st Amendment rights. You're not a citizen. STFU

Insurance goes up...surprise!

Affordable health care...isn't.
Better coverage...won't happen.

What WILL happen is what conservatives have been saying - we're headed for single-payer insurance. Private insurance prices will force them out of business. All planned.
Socialism is here. When it bites enough clueless leftists hard enough, you'll hear the screaming.
It won't be long.

"Tax cuts" 101

This is simply NOT true. Republicans are blocking a tax HIKE. All of us wil see our taxes go up January 1 when the "Bush tax cuts" expire. ALL.OF.US.

Republicans are fighting to leave the tax cuts in place.

This lets the richest 2% continue to be productive and generate the econony.

With confidence that their tax rates won't go up, businesses will hire, expand production, grow the economy.

If tax rates are allowed to go up, there will be continued layoffs, production will be limited, the economy will stall.

What Democrats are doing is vilifying the right. They want to jack up tax rates, then when the shouting begins, go back in and give the "98%" a tax cut. Mission accomplished. Repubs look like the bad guys, and the richest 2% are penalized for being innovators, risk-takers, and job force boosters.

Folks, it's a cleverly designed one-more-story drop into socialism.

Being wealthy has become a crime, suddenly. (Unless you're in the entertainment industry, right? Will those people be heavily taxed?) Let me put it this way, how much money is too much money for YOU to make? If you hit upon a new idea or created a new product or suddenly became wildly talented in the arts and found yourself making beaucoups, how much would be too much? At what point would you say, "Oh no. I only 'deserve' $X." Right. You wouldn't. What if you're already overpaid at your job and are mandated to work for less pay? Go quietly? psssht.

Listen well, middle-class. You will NEVER be one of the elite in a Communistic society. NEVER. You make $100K? You'll work for the government and make a tenth of that, if you're lucky. You won't need much money because you won't have choices as to how to spend it. How hard is it for you to read 1984 to get the picture? There will be NO middle class. There will be an elite ruling class over which you have NO voting power. There will be a class of powerless proles who do the bidding of the elite class. There will be no innovation, no free expression of art. ALL resources will belong to the government, including you.

Overtaxing the wealthiest 2% will not make a dent in the national debt. It is frightening when they hypothesize "even if the wealthy were taxed 100%..." (see above). And even then, the dent gets only imperceptibly bigger.

Economists are blue in the face explaining that the economy grows when you have tax AND spending CUTS. It's common sense. Economics is like math. Based on absolutes. The twisting of facts is one step to enslave the people. Demonize capitalism, make the populace dependent on the government for all they can - health care, transportation, media, birth control, manufacturing, agriculture, the arts. Then when the people are totally dependent, choice disappears.

I could have just said READ 1984, but I've been shouting that into the wind it seems.

I am one of the poorest people you know. I have no talent, no imagination, nothing innate to rocket me to the top of the earnings ladder. However, I firmly support those who have been able. They are the hirers, the movers and shakers, the innovators, the inspiration for others to do the same. God bless the rich.

It's about to disappear.

Fiscal Cliff

Great idea, Mark Levin!! Let's write them, starting with the appropriate committees.

Put on your "NO" voice

Kelly Ayotte and Lindsey Graham (he IS useful from time to time!) need to dig in their heels, and John McCain needs to shore up his spine. They'll be called racist and sexist, but neither apply to the shameful consideration of Susan Rice for Secretary of State.

I realize I am the master of stating the obvious here, but given public opinion of Congress's credibility, citizens outside the Beltway must, first, understand the situation, i.e. REASEARCH, people, and then loudly voice opposition (the natural result of learning the horrifying truths). To influence Congress? Our numbers are awfully small right now, but it is proven that as opposition groups become peaceably larger and more vocal, others eventually listen, or in the least, begin to form questions. Can you say "Tea Party"? Let them vilify you for swimming upstream, but is it better to just sit by while another travesty takes place?

Susan Rice has lied, lied, lied. A full-blown coverup of the events of Benghazi has occurred. She is a willing pawn in the game. American Patriots died, no, were murdered, I believe deliberately, to hush secrets of weapons running to the enemy that far eclipses Fast and Furious (and no way should that be forgotten).

Under this Administration, hardly anything will NOT be a travesty...of the Bible, the Constitution, or the country. To the contrary, Susan Rice is being wagged in our faces as an insolent, chest-thumping show of Marxist authority. We are marching on towards 1984 with weakening opposition. Seriously, are we going out? Bang or whimper?

Not written by me, but...

I WAS WRONG
It's official; I don't know anything.

I thought for sure that given such a clear choice, Americans would vote for love of country over revenge.
I was wrong.

I thought, that just as every presidential election in my lifetime, the bad economy would be hung around the incumbent's neck, sinking him.
I was wrong.

I thought that even those few Americans who were fortunate enough to still be fully employed (not counting those leeching off the public system) would be cognizant of how much pain their neighbors were in and elect someone who would at least try to make improvements.
I was wrong.

I thought that now that FINALLY some of the disturbing truths about our first black president had come to light, voters would reject a man so dangerously at odds with the American experience.
I was wrong.

I thought the 2010 elections and the Tea Party meant something.

I thought the enthusiasm on display at Romney/Ryan events, contrasted with the lack of same at Obama/Biden events meant something.
I thought Americans woujld never sell their liberty for the sake of trinkets like cell phones or even big shiny lies like “Free Health Care.”
I was wrong.

Never in a million years would I have supposed that America would support a president who left his (our) people to die at the hands of our enemies overseas without lifting a hand to help, then lie about what he watched in real time for over two weeks, then lie about the lie for another month.
I was wrong.

I thought Americans could tell a hawk from a handsaw.
I was wrong.

We were offered the clearest choice we've has since 1980, where we had malaise and a misery index on one hand and a shining city on a hill on the other. Back then, we chose the city on the hill. This time the choice was between a man who says 7.9% unemployment and $4.00 gas is the new normal and a guy whose entire career has been about fixing broken entities.

We chose to stay broken. And Broke..

Maybe I'm wrong about the ramifications of this choice. Maybe windmills will actually turn out to be a viable energy source. Maybe America diminished will be loved overseas. Maybe a nuclear Iran won't be a threat. Maybe Israel is over reacting. Maybe western civilization was always over rated. Maybe life under sharia is fun. Maybe when the rest of the world realizes that we have no intention of ever paying back that $16,000,000,000,000.00 (and counting) that we've borrowed from them, they won't devalue the dollar, causing hyper inflation here at home. Maybe China will just keep on giving us money and not demand our hearts, souls, national monuments and marriageable daughters as payment.

I've watched my candidate lose elections before but I've never felt the way I did the night this one was called for Obama.

It wasn't bitterness or sadness or even disappointment. It took me a while to figure out what it was. Then it hit me; it was horror.

Pure, unadulterated horror.

Not because of Obama, but because of what it says about us, the American people, that we chose this.

It shouldn't have even been close. Faced with the choice between taking charge of our destiny and tackling our financial problems, we opted to get high and have sex. We re elected a guy who doesn't understand that a growing economy that creates more tax payers will bring in more revenue than higher taxes. A Commander in Chief who doesn't know our military still uses bayonets. A man who wants to control the economy without even knowing the difference between bankruptcy and liquidation. It was one thing to elect an unknown quantity, buying his line of 'Hope and Change'. It's something else to deliberately choose his failed policies over someone who has actually achieved success in life. I never dreamed America would do that.

Goodbye, recovery.

Goodbye, energy independence.

Goodbye, religious liberty.

Goodbye, liberty and justice for all.

Goodbye, America dream.

It profits a man nothing to lose his soul for the whole world but we threw ours away for cell phones and birth control pills.

In the twentieth century (the American Century), we stepped up to the plate three times and saved the rest of the world from fascism, nazism and communism. We were the cavalry, always riding to the rescue.

Now, we've gotten rid of our horses, spent all our money on windmills, alienated our allies, bowed to our enemies, cut ourselves off from our own natural resources thrown away our children's birthright and spent their inheritance.

And we did it on purpose.

When the wolf is at the door (and he's coming, yelling 'Allahu Akbar') we're going to find out that there is no one out there to come to our rescue.

The Difference

They have always been corrupt, but now they are openly, proudly so.

Poor

I am srsly the poorest person you know. Times are only going to get worse. I will not stray from my faith in God or my affiliation with (R) as long as they represent conservative beliefs. The latter is getting shaky.

Victory

One at a time...

Sunshine

Sunshine go away today
I don't feel much like dancin'
Some man's come, he's tryin' to run my life
He don't know what he's askin'.

And he can't even run his own life
I'll be damned if he'll run mine, sunshine.

(Cutting and pasting lyrics from Jonathan Edwards)

From THE Man

How horrible it will be for those who call evil good and good evil, who turn darkness into light and light into darkness, who turn what is bitter into something sweet and what is sweet into something bitter.
Isaiah 5:20 (God's Word Translation)

The nation is tipping towards socialistic, pro-choice, anti-Israel, union-dominated mentalities. Bad things don't become good or right just because you want them to. Lazy and spoiled won't be rewarded. GOD is still in control.

State of the Manse

Since 2008, I have had my pay frozen and seen the cost of goods rise an average of 40%. I have no recollection of what it would be like to be cool in the summer and warm in the winter or to buy a bill of groceries without anxiety. With unlimited power for the next 4 years, he will do all he can to further impoverish me and make me dependent on the regime. Only God is left to keep me from sinking. And even if I do, He is still Lord.

If I am

a homophobe, why do I take very seriously the writings of Hillbuzz and Gay Patriot?

racist, why do I enjoy new Twitter friendships with Black Republican, Chesi P Henry, Ali A Akbar, Crystal Wright, Solomon Thomas, LaShawn Barber, Jen M, Inez Feltscher, Stacey Dash, Kyra Ayn Davis, Thomas Sowell, Vernon B Parker, Pam Besteder, and others?   The courage and ambition that swells forth from people who know they'll be criticized for leaving the plantation is such an inspiration to me to cheer them on as we fight on common ground. I love the new phrase coming from these trenches - "I'd rather assume one was not a racist until they proved themselves so." Amen, brothers and sisters in conservatism!

Now...stop assuming I am a -phobe or an -ist or an -ass until you have such proof. Thank ya very mooch!

Did I mention Rodger?

My inspiration, my friend. He is crazy about his wife, kids, and grandkids. He lives in a very blue state yet passionately holds on to his conservative principles. He has been a wonderful and fun-loving teacher. Rodger Schultz is the best man I've never met. God bless you, Mr.-Not-So-Curmudgeonly Renaissance Man.

Implosion

The writings of Joel C. Rosenberg are very important to me. He has published several books, both fiction and non-, concerning end times and politics. I have just started Implosion, and I think it will answer many questions I have had. Apparently the United States is not part of end-times prophecy. Why?

108%!!

That is some logical math!

Bad Blue

I highly recommend Bad Blue for headlines you won't see in the liberal mainstream media (MSM).

Let's Talk About Taqiyyah

Periodically on Facebook I attempted to discuss taqiyyah, i.e. - LYING - and how it is permitted, even encouraged, in the Muslim faith. If you can't recognize this...never mind...I know you can.
Apply freely.

Do I Think of All This Stuff Myself?

Of course not. This hangout will have lots of links from others - they're the genuises with whom I concur. Now and then, if I have inspiration, I'll post something that constitutes original thought. Mostly, I am a student eager to share the wisdom of God and others. You and I get to learn together.
Let's establish this and then you'll know from whence all posts originate: I am a Christian, a daughter of the King. I have been redeemed yet am flawed on this earth. Jesus Christ is Lord.

Why

It was never my intention to be "political" - I am far too shallow and lazy. But something stirred within me to overlay world events with Biblical prophecy and "end times" speculation. By Divine providence (nothing is coinkeedink in the Kingdom of God), I found Rodger Schultz and Curmudgeonly and Skeptical on Blogger. From there I discovered I had grown up and was, as it should be, a conservative/libertarian-type politically. I don't really care about Republican/Democrat labels, but the Democrat party has left any semblance of conservatism behind, so I am a registered Republican...big deal. If the (R) party continues its pandering to liberals and leftwards wanderings, I'll register as (I). At any rate, I will vote as conservatively as possible.
Anyhoo, this is my platform: Jesus Christ on the throne and whatever may come after that. My writings are haphazard and undisciplined. Perhaps that will improve. The point of Blogger is to express my political and sometimes related spiritual heart somewhere other than Facebook, which is fraught with high school peer pressure and butt-hurtness if one's opinion doesn't agree.
Let us proceed with this experiment...
